Like any mechanical device, your plotter will go wrong if it isn't looked after. In fact, plotter servicing should take place at least once a year, otherwise you're likely to be storing-up trouble. The three most common faults are failure of Carriage Assembly, Cartridge Delivery System and Ink-Cleaning Mechanism.

Exactly how much will my plotter service/repair cost? |

It will generally cost between £160 and £250 excluding vat. This includes all travelling time and labour. If your plotter needs a replacement part, we'll advise you first and let you know the extra cost up-front. We operate a completely transparent pricing policy, which means when you work with us, you won't be faced with surprise 'extras' and an unpleasant taste in your mouth! (Incidentally, Hewlett-Packard 'direct' have charged as much as £640+vat for a call out). |

My plotter doesn't go wrong, why should we spend on a service contract? |

We know it's tempting to follow that trusty old maxim…if it ain't broke, don't fix it.. but like any mechanical device, it will go wrong if it isn't looked after properly. If you don't have plotter servicing at least once a year, you're likely to be storing-up trouble. And when it does fail on you, chances are it will be at the most inconvenient time! You can get complete protection for your plotter for an annual investment of between £325 and £595, depending on your model. For that price, you get an annual service and you're covered for all other travelling, call-outs and labour costs in the year. Think of an HP plotter service contract as an investment. |
